Jim Valleskey began as a pickleball instructor at LaCamarilla racquet, swim, and fitness club in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2015. He was one of the first IPTPA certified pickleball instructors in the country. He has taught well over 1,000 players of all levels pickleball skills and strategies. He is a 4.5 rated doubles player and took third place in his age division in singles play at the USA pickleball national tournament in 2016 and second place in 2017. He is the author of “A Pickleball Playbook: A Guide for Instructors and Self-Instruction” published by Amazon in 2017. He is a former USPTR tennis pro with 41 years of coaching experience at the high school and club level. As a counseling psychologist, he was the director of counseling programs at three different high schools during his educational career.
